Hamilton Campus Mental Health First Aid Training: March 3rd - March 4th, 2018
For $110 you can become certified in Mental Health First Aid Youth by the Mental Health Commission of Canada. This two-day course builds on participants’ existing skills to increase comfort and confidence in working with students and youth (ages 12-24) experiencing mental health problems; such as depression, anxiety, deliberate self-harm, and/or psychosis. Mental health problems often first develop during adolescence or early adulthood, with half of all mental health problems beginning at age 14, and 75% beginning by age 24. Learn to spot the signs and symptoms of potential common mental health problems and how to respond to the five basic actions of mental health first aid. Participants will learn and practice the principles and basic skills of Mental Health First Aid Youth.

To wrap up the school year, we are hosting one more fundraiser to raise money for Hurricane Relief Efforts. For $1, all you have to do is guess how many Jolly Ranchers are in the candy jar. The person with the closest guess will win the candy, as well as $50 in PC gift cards, generously donated by Larry Antonio, store manager of Zehrs at the Geneva/Fairview Mall location.
So before exams, take advantage of this final opportunity to contribute to a good cause! All proceeds are going to Feeding America and The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI). All efforts are appreciated!
Big thank you to Zehrs for their sponsorship!
